Micromax Canvas XP 4G with 5-inch HD display, launched


Micromax Canvas XP 4G officially launched and is company’s latest addition to its mid-range lineup of handsets. Similar to its siblings from the company’s Canvas lineup, the Canvas XP 4G carries the familiar plastic build and dead rectangular design and symmetrically positioned rear camera along with LED flash. Micromax already announced the Canvas 6, Canvas 6 Pro, Canvas Mega 2, Canvas Spark 2+ and Spark 3 smartphones this year. With the launch of Canvas XP 4G, the company eying on more market share in the under 15k smartphone segment.

The 5-inch Canvas XP 4G boasts a IPS HD display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek (MT6735P) Quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz. Other specs include a 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a microSD slot for storage expansion of up to 32GB and a 2000 mAh battery. Source

As for photography buffs, the Canvas XP 4G features 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The Canvas XP 4G will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with company’s customized UI on top. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB 2.0 and FM Radio. The Canvas XP 4G is now available for purchase exclusively on online retailer Snapdeal for INR 7499.
