Micromax, the Indian smartphone maker on April 13, 2016, has finally unveiled the much-anticipated new Canvas 6 and 6 Pro smartphones at the press event in Gurugram (Gurgaon). The company is touting the new Canvas 6 series as its next flagship models, despite the fact that its existing flagship Canvas 5 was introduced less than six months ago. Both the devices are offering top of the line specs sheet with signature Micromax exterior designs and difference between these two devices are minor but effective.
The Canvas 6 and 6 Pro sporting full HD displays as its predecessor but Micromax has taken big step forward in the display size, which is now 5.5″ instead of 5.2″ on Canvas 5. The biggest surprise is that Canvas 6 comes equipped with All Metal Unibody and Fingerprint sensor, whereas the Canvas 6 Pro has a traditional ebony-black plastic body with Ergonomic polymer grip, however, there is no Fingerprint sensor on Canvas 6 Pro, which is so ironic!

While the Canvas 6 features 32GB of internal memory, the Canvas 6 Pro packs only 16GB of built-in storage but both the devices support storage expansion using microSD card.
Both the smartphones boasts a 13MP rear shooter with LED flash as well 5P Largan Lens and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus). Besides the similar rear camera, the Canvas 6 comes with 8MP front shooter while the Canvas 6 Pro has 5MP selfie camera. Also, the Canvas 6 and 6 Pro runs on brand new Around UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
On the connectivity front, the Canvas 6 and 6 Pro offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB 2.0. Micromax is shipping Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Plus with 3000mAh battery to keep the lights on for longer hours on single charge.
