After teasing the launch of Moto X Force in the Indian market, Motorola has today finally makes it official its first “ShatterShield” display smartphone in the country. The Moto X Force will be available in India with a starting price tag of INR 49999 from next week onwards. Originally launched in October last year, the Moto X Force flaunts a 5.4-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels, 540 PPI) AMOLED ShatterShield display. For those who aren’t aware, the Motorola’s ShatterShield display is the combination of five layers to survive from some severe drops. Motorola is very confident in its brand new display technology, so the company is offering four years of warranty for display. Users can get free display replacement if it crack or shatter in the first 4-years period.
The device is powered by a 2GHz Clocked Octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU, which is paired with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. There are 32GB/64GB of storage choices available, and you can also have the option to expand memory via microSD card slot for up to 2TB.
The Moto X Force sports a 21MP rear-facing camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and also shoots 4K resolution videos without a hesitation. A 5MP front-facing shooter with an 87-degree wide-angle lens and also an LED flash for brighter photos. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is expected to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow in coming weeks.
The connectivity features include 4G LTE Cat.7/9 speeds with the Indian bands support, Dual Band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, microUSB 2.0, GPS with a-GPS, NFC and GLONASS. The device accepts Nano SIM card by default, and it packs a generous 3760mAh battery under the hood with Qi & PMA wireless charging support. The handset measures 149.8 x 78 x 9.2 mm and weighs 169 grams.
Pricing and Availability:
The Motorola Moto X Force will be available in Black & Grey Ballistic Nylon, and White Rubberized back cover options. The smartphone is priced at INR 49999 for the 32GB variant and INR 53999 for the 64GB variant.
