YU Yunique 4G smartphone launched

As expected, the Micromax Subsidiary YU has today officially launched its budget 4G smartphone Yunique in India for INR 4999. The new smartphone closely resembles with its sibling Yuphoria in design segment but comes with a slightly trimmed down specs in some aspects. The Yunique flaunts a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Full Lamination technology display with an added protection from Gorilla Glass Ver.3.0. Under the hood includes a 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU, backed by a 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB ROM with an option to expand memory via micros SD card. The device will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based on Cyanogen OS 12.1. (Update: This device will run on Stock Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, but users have the option to upgrade to Cyanogen OS in future FOTA updates)

Moving to the camera department, the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera with the aperture of f/2.0, LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and FM Radio. The device powered by a non-removable 2000mAh battery and the device measures 134.5 x 67.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs 128 grams.
