Samsung had released a couple of mini versions for its flagship devices so far, therefore speculations about a possible Mini version of Samsung’s Galaxy S6 smartphone have been there for quite some time now, but Samsung is taking a long time to release details about the Galaxy S6 Mini. But finally, the device was spotted on an online UAE retailer LetsTango’s website which confirmed few specifications about the phone. Source
The alleged Galaxy S6 Mini spotted on LetsTango, have listed the device with 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 resolution, a 1.8GHz Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor along with the Adreno 418 GPU. The chip has been paired with 2GB of RAM and the device comes with 16GB internal storage.
The handset will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UX on top, so no marshmallow for this device. On the imaging front, the compact model has packed fairly decent camera setup as 15MP rear and 5MP front shooters. It also packs in a non-removable Li-Ion battery, although capacity isn’t mentioned. Another feature added to the S6 Mini is a PayPal certified fingerprint sensor. The device carries the model number SM-G6MINI, and there is no information about the launch date or pricing so far.
We are expecting to see the device soon in the market by skipping the major announcement or Samsung might be planning to bring the device to forthcoming CES 2016. The handset isn’t available for purchase yet, although you can submit your email address to get notified whenever it is.
