Panasonic has introduced a new Android smartphone Eluga Mark in the Indian market. The smartphone equipped with 4G LTE & rear mounted Fingerprint Sensor, and it also comes with Android for Work support. With the presence of Android for Work and trending Fingerprint support, the smartphone could be a big deal for enterprise users since they look for a high level of security.
The Eluga Mark sports an 8.2mm thick metallic finish chassis, which equipped with 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 1.5GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. It packs 13MP rear camera with LED flash, and the company included a 5MP front shooter to manage the video calls and selfies. Source
On the software side, the handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with company’s Fit Home UI, but no word on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As we said earlier in this post, it also pre-loaded with Android for Work support, which brings enhanced IT Security & BYOD support (bring your own device) compatibility for private smart devices to operate on secure corporate networks. In addition, the Fit Home UI allows users to trigger the camera shutter to capture selfies, and it can also be used to do tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb.
The connectivity features included Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB and it is powered by a generous 2500mAh battery.
Pricing & Availability:
The Panasonic Eluga Mark will go on sale in coming weeks in the country at INR 11990 (US $180), and it will be available in Metallic Grey or Royal Gold colour options.
