Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop

The good news all Xperia C3 & Xperia T2 Ultra users had been waiting for is finally here. Sony has started pushing Lollipop updates for Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra handsets. After pushing updates for Xperia Z handsets Sony finally started pushing Lollipop update for Xperia C3 & T2 Ultra handsets. Both the devices are now receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with new Sony UI on top. The update is rolling out in phases so not all user will receive updates in coming days.

For now, the Xperia C3 is receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in Taiwa for Single SIM (D2533) models only. Those who are having Dual SIM, they are yet to receive the notification. The update will bring 19.3.A.0.470 firmware.

The Xperia T2 Ultra also receiving Lollipop update with similar firmware 19.3.A.0.470. The update will bring Android 5.0.2 system for device currently in Taiwan, Czech Republic and Germany. Just like Xperia C3, only single SIM variant (D5303) is receiving Lollipop update. There has been no conformations yet about when the Dual SIM version will get this update.

The Android 5.0.2 update will bring along all Lollipop goodies like material design with new transition animations across the UI, the header themes will be attractive and Lockscreen notifications, to allow users to access all notifications right from lockscreen, ART runtime will allow apps to load faster than earlier and Project Volta improvements will provide up to 30% of extra battery life.

If you live in above mentioned regions, check for the update notification. But if you haven’t received any notification yet, you will have to wait some more days to get the update.
