After introducing the 2nd Generation 3G variant, of the ever popular Moto E last month, Motorola is up again and this time with the 4G variant. After grabbing a lot of attention from people all around the world all because of its predecessor’s success, the 4G variant finally goes on sale in India and is available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 7,999 which is around 2 grand more than its 3G version.
So what’s the difference between the 3G and 4G version? Lets find out. Honestly there ain’t much difference. The 4G variant retains the design of the 3G variant. Speaking about the specifications, the new features included in the new Moto E are, an upgraded processor powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chip with 4 Cortex- A53 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz each. The GPU has also been updated with Adreno 306 chip, which is an upgrade from the previous Adreno 302. Apart from that rest of the features remains the same, and the ones added were done only to support 4G LTE.
After reading all this you might be thinking, is it really worth the money ? To be honest extra 1000 bucks just for network and processor updates did not made us happy, but if it had come with a flash on board it would have been a better deal…. but yes definitely since software updates are ruling the smartphone world, you won’t get software updates for any of its competitors like Xiaomi Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000, Asus Zenfone C as fast as Motorola devices get, where Motorola holds very strong track record. Motorola will push latest software updates within 90 days once Google pushed the source code to AOSP.
